On Friday the 4^th of November 2022, Marlo Angling Club officially welcomed the community to their upgraded facilities. Following the bushfires that devastated the area and threatened the township, in 2020, a Bushfires Recovery Grant was sought and received by the club.

The purpose of this funding was to repair and improve the facilities of the community club room, which is managed under the auspices of the Marlo Angling Club. Local tradespeople expertly achieved the tasks with some of the major Some of the major changes and upgrades being: installation of a commercial grade kitchen, solar power with battery back-up, reverse cycle heating, new toilets, painting inside and out, ensuring the premises are lined, insulated and vermin-proof, upgrading plumbing connections and various other amendments.

It has been a wonderful achievement which will provide a fantastic resource for the Marlo community and friends and visitors to this region to enjoy.
